The majestic view of Valletta across the creek from The Chophouse has often been described by Grand Tour travellers “one of the finest views in Europe”. The spacious timber – decked terrace at The Chophouse gives one the feeling of being on an ocean liner, high above the water, sailing into port.

The magnificent, uninterrupted view of Valletta across the water not only provides the perfect back drop for happy photographs but also the idyllic ambience for family and friends to relax in. This unique view is coupled with the tranquil effect of The Chophouse being situated in a car free zone.

This spacious terrace is backed up by a large internal area, a section of which has parquet flooring and is great for dancing. This inside area is fronted by large 20-foot-high glass windows so that even in adverse weather the view of Valletta can still be enjoyed.

The Chophouse is able to offer a large and varied selection of menus for seated dinners and stand up parties and we are always happy to chop and change to help satisfy all our customers’ wishes and match their budgets. Apart from our in-house facilities we bring in additional expertise as required from our sister restaurants.


At the Chophouse the seating capacity is 110 inside whereas the terrace – closed with glass in the winter months – seats 96. Standing capacity is 300 using both indoors and out.

Another great advantage of The Chophouse is the ample and convenient parking close by at The Point car park. There is also an underground walkway for patrons to use in case of bad weather which takes them to the restaurant elevator and whisks them up into the party area.

In good weather the bride and groom can be stopped either below the belvedere by the steel staircase or at the Midi entrance in Censu Scerri Street which leads to the Piazza. In the case of bad weather, the bridal car and the accompanying cars proceed through the underground tunnel.
