PAN–AM (ERA) EVENING @ THE CHOPHOUSE
Wednesday 30th November 2011
For our third encounter with wine @ The Chophouse Restaurant, we’re moving to North America
The name “”Panamera”” comes from the Spanish word “Carretera Panamericana” meaning “Pan-American highway”, the infamous open road that connects Alaska to Argentina and runs straight through the United States. The wines are under the constant care of experienced winemaker Laurenz Maria Moser from Austria and the talented winemaker Steve Rued in the Rutherford AVA. The Panamera wines have bright and expressive aromas and flavours with fine-grained structure and good acidity. These qualities come from choice of Californian vineyard sites with ideal mixture of temperate climate of warm days and cool night breezes. The gentle hint of oak adds roundness and complexity.
